A New Year, a New [York] State of Mind

This year past produced a lot of learning experiences... It was learned that I, along with most of my family members, have a terrible case of the "itis" when it comes to being task oriented. If we were driving from NY to LA, they would stop at every rest stop, see every sight along the way, and do everything else besides the Road Trip, not realizing that with every unplanned, unnecessary stop, time is running out, resources are running out etc. That part of my life changes this year coming.

How to follow dreams and not let them go - despite what changes in life may bring - was also learned through the studies of those that "made it" those that "almost made it" and those that never started.

I'm beginning to realize that routine is necessary to make progress towards goals - and gut checks to see if you really want what you are after are also hurdles deemed necessary. These are road blocks to prove how bad you want to get to where you want to be.

I'm a late bloomer... but hey, thats all good. Best thing about late bloomers is that we're most eager to catch up.
